#Fiji is so blessed to be able to celebrate our religious festivals together as one people.

The Minister for Employment, Productivity, Industrial Relations and Youth and Sports Parveen Kumar said Fiji is blessed to live in a land where we are free to worship.

At the Deepawali celebrations last night in Ba, Minister Kumar said, “The festivals of lights – Diwali, assumes its traditional relevance from the story that all of us have grown up listening to, it marks the return of Lord Rama to his kingdom after 14 years in exile.”

The Minister also said we are at that time of the year again moving closer to Christmas to celebrate the life of Jesus Christ.

He acknowledged Remembrance Day honoured on the 11th of November, saying it is a day to remember #Fijians that went abroad to fight for the cause of peace.

Both the Minister for Youth and Sports and the Tui Ba also presented Certificates of Recognition to a few recipients.
