The South Pacific Coffee Company in Nadi received its Fijian Made license from the Ministry of Commerce.
Minister for Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport, Faiyaz Koya, at the handover, said that it’s a good step for small-medium enterprises like SPCC to be certified.
“We have given them the Fijian made certification today and I think it’s a wonderful opportunity for the company to capitalise on the fact that we have a brand name, the Fijian Made brand name, which is well known around the world, and in Fiji.”
“It’s a great innovation in terms of coffee – it’s another industry in Fiji that is waiting to happen and SPCC is at the forefront of this. It’s a phenomenal opportunity available around the world, and now in Fiji, for once our tourism industry is up and running again.
“South Pacific Coffee Company Managing Director Mike Dennis said that “We hope to be part of the Fijian made network to grow our products for export, as well as domestically.”
