The Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development, Premila Kumar, yesterday met with the French Ambassador to Fiji, Jean-François Fitou.
 
The two discussed ways to further strengthen Fiji-France relations, future bilateral and regional events.
Cooperation in areas of climate change, trade, tourism, investment and infrastructure development was also deliberated upon.
 
Minister Kumar stated that the success of the inaugural Fiji-New Caledonia Business Forum in Suva and the number of opportunities that currently exist will further develop synergies between the two countries.
 
The Minister added that the Ministry looks forward to working with the French Embassy in other areas which will bring about development in Fiji.
