The Youth in Bua were all smiles as they reached a significant milestone achievement in their lives yesterday.

This follows 36 youth participants completing their Empowerment Training initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on various thematic topics of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights, Farm Management and Waste Management.

Minister Parveen Kumar Bala, congratulated all the youth participants while officially closing the training in Droca Settlement.

These youth empowerment and capacity building programmes aim to teach life skills including personal, social, mental and spiritual development.

Minister Bala, who concluded his three-day Northern tour, also handed over grants from the Youth Farm Initiative Programme to four different youth clubs namely; Doitall Youth Club, Vuniuto Youth Club, Lekutu Multiracial Youth Club and Valawavere Youth Club.

On behalf of the youth, an elated Ms Razia Shah of Valawavere Youth Club thanked Minister Bala and the Ministry, saying that the opportunities provided to them will help in the development of their livelihoods in the future.
