A cheque of more than $2 million was handed over by India’s High Commission to the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Tourism, Local Government, Housing and Community Development today.
This assistance will benefit those Fijians who are currently assisted by the ministry under the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).
While officiating at the event, Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism and Local Government, Housing and Community Development Hon. Premila Kumar commended the Indian Government for their assistance and says that this assistance will greatly boost the MSME sector.
“This assistance was made possible during India’s Prime Minister His Excellency Narendra Modi’s visit to Fiji, Mr. Modi made that commitment to assist this sector.”
