It was an overcast day for most parts of the Western Division, but for officers manning roadblocks outside the Lautoka lockdown areas, their day was brightened up by visits from members of the public showing their support towards policing efforts during the COVID-19 operations.
Yesterday representatives from Makans Drugs Pharmaceuticals handed over chemicals and disinfectants to be used by officers manning the Natalau checkpoint, while at another checkpoint officers and waiting truck drivers shared a hot cup of tea.
While members of the Waimalika community stopped by the Namaka Police Station with refreshments for officers who will be out on duty tonight.
