The Land Transport Authority is advising bus operators and drivers – that playing loud music on buses is Not Permitted.

This contravenes the ‘Public Service Vehicle License Conditions’, and any bus operator or driver – found breaking the law, will be issued with a traffic infringement notice.

LTA CEO – Samuel Simpson also says, the payment of cash to bus drivers for any fare is illegal, and will also result in a Traffic Infringement Notice being issued to the Driver of the Bus, AND the Passenger who has paid the cash.

Bus operators and drivers are advised to adhere, to their Public Service ‘Code of Conduct’ at all times, and take heed of this notice.
