The Land Transport Authority has conducted road safety awareness, with over 10 thousand and 40 school children, and 200 adults Fiji wide, in the past two months.
Board Chairman – Vijay Maharaj said. road safety awareness was very important to the community.
Maharaj highlighted his concern on the number of young lives lost so far – as a result of road accidents, and that knowledge on road safety was paramount to children.
The awareness was also very important to the community, because of the increasing number of road accidents, that requires LTA to increase its resilience on road safety awareness to the community, and enable them to talk to some of the drivers out there at the same time – on defensive driving techniques.
Meanwhile, Maharaj also conveyed his heart felt condolences, to the families of tragic road accidents over the weekend.
