The Land Transport Authority is advising bus operators and drivers – that playing loud music on buses is “Not Permitted”.
This contravenes the ‘Public Service Vehicle Licence Conditions’, and any bus operator or driver – found breaking the law, will be issued with a traffic infringement notice.
LTA CEO – Samuel Simpson also says, the payment of cash to bus drivers for any fare is illegal, and will also result in a Traffic Infringement Notice being issued to the Driver of the Bus, AND the Passenger who has paid the cash.
Bus operators/drivers are advised to adhere, to their Public Service ‘Code of Conduct’ at all times, and take heed of this notice.
