Residents of Koronivia should expect water disruptions from tonight.
The Water Authority of Fiji is advising customers living in the following elevated parts of Koronivia, that water supply will be disrupted from 10pm tonight, to 6am tomorrow morning.
The affected Areas Include: Part of the Kings and Koronivia road Junction, to the FNU Lab Road – Kings Rd junction, the FNU Lab Road, the Fiji National University – Koronivia Campus and Quarters, Koronivia Research Station, Koronivia Road, Part of Koronivia Road from the Kings Road Junction to the Tawakelevu Road Junction, and the Mosque Feeder Road.
The interruption in supply is to allow the transfer of connection, from the existing 100MM to the 250MM water main, located along the Kings Road and Koronivia.
The WAF will also be carrying out connections to the new 50MM water main at the FNU Lab Road, and the Mosque Feeder Road, as well as the connection of the new 150MM water main, along the Fiji National University road.
The Authority is kindly advising its customers residing in the areas earlier mentioned – to store and use water wisely, for their immediate needs, during this temporary disruption period.
Water carting trucks are on standby to service the areas – as and when the need arises.
Water supply is expected to be normalised by 6am tomorrow morning.
