President Jioji Konrote presented awards of achievement to deserving Fijian citizens at the Statehouse this morning.

The youngest recipient was a five-year-old boy who helped saved his 1year and 8-month old sibling from drowning.

While officiating at the Investiture Ceremony this morning the president Jioji Konrote says that it is always a milestone to reward and honour deserving Fijians who show acts or meritorious service that contribute to nation-building.

“Today’s Investiture Ceremony is another important milestone in the history of the Order whereby Government and we, as Fijians, continue to acknowledge, but more importantly, honour and reward those deserving members of our Society for their selfless contributions to Nation Building and on one or two occasions, for acts of Bravery during extreme and dangerous situations.” – President Jioji Konrote.
