Lydia Ko is well placed at the halfway stage of the LPGA Tour’s Founders Cup in Phoenix, Arizona.
The world number 15 has carded a second straight five-under 67 to sit two shots behind the clubhouse leaders, China’s Yu Liu and South Korean Sung Hyun Park.
Ko was one-under par at the turn of her second round, after birdies on her fourth and sixth holes and a bogey on her eighth.
It is the only blemish on her scorecard after a bogey-free first round.
She then birdied her 10th, 11th, 13th and 14th holes to jump up the leaderboard.
Lydia Ko started the day in a share of 12th place, but was tied for third by the end of her round, when half of the field was still on the course.
Ko is seeking her first title since winning the LPGA Mediheal Championship in April last year.
Her best result this year came at the season-opening event in Florida, where she finished in a share of eighth place.
