Yanuyanu youth group from Kinoya today spent their day cleaning up the community.

The community once known for its notorious criminal activities, the youths are reforming to become better and productive citizens of the country.

Yanuyanu Youth Advisor Saimoni Bebenisala says these young people have been laid off from work due to the impacts of COVID-19 and are using their time to engage in community programs.

Bebenisala says they are partnering with stakeholders to provide these youth opportunities to earn a living and to stay away from crime.

Also part of the Yanuyanu youths is school dropouts.

Residents of Kinoya have commended the youths for being part of nation-building.

More than 50 young people are part of the group that conducted a cleanup campaign in Kinoya.
