The Kaiviti Silktails made history after recording their first win in the Ron Massey Cup, since joining the competition earlier this year, but unfortunately, the Fijian league team will not feature in the rest of the Ron Massey Cup competition this season.

This means the Silktails debut win against the Wolves in Lautoka in March was their first and last game of the season.

Fiji National Rugby League chief executive officer, Don Natabe says they will be focusing more on the development side of the sport here at home, because of financial constraints, denying them to compete in the rest of this year’s season, because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, Kaiviti Silktails head coach, Wes Naiqama is looking to build the game and its pathway programmes here at home, before preparation for next year’s new season.
