Last week IUCN hosted a breakfast meeting for the heads of environment and conservation organisations in Suva, Fiji.
Held quarterly in a year, the series of meetings have been very fruitful.
These meetings allow a space and platform for the heads of organisations to discuss strategic updates, ongoing issues and challenges, and potential solutions.
On the same day, IUCN received a courtesy call from the newly appointed French Ambassador H.E Jean-François FITOU to get a brief on IUCN’s work in the Oceania region including future potential synergies that could be fostered.
IUCN is preparing for its World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France from 11 to 19 June 2020.
