Investment Fiji’s CEO, Craig Strong and Board Chair, Jenny Seeto met with the US Ambassador to Fiji, H.E. Joseph James Cella and Second Secretary, Chuck Bennett.
Discussions on collaborative activities with the US Embassy in Suva, The Fijian Trade Commission in San Francisco and Fijian Embassy in Washington in order to grow the reach of Fijian business in the USA and matching high value investments between the two countries.
Mr. Strong said a market plan for the US is in development and will assist in establishing target commodity objectives and sectoral investment opportunities. H.E. Joseph Cella identified commercial opportunities in States such as in Texas, Nevada, Las Vegas, Texas, Illinois and development programs that Investment Fiji could auger with Michigan State University. H.E. Joseph Cella along with Craig Strong plan to meet again over the coming days with the Fijian Trade Commissioner in the USA, Mr. James Chen, the Regional Trade Advisor with the State Department in Washington along with Mrs. Ruth Hughes, the Secretary of State for Texas and Adriana Cruz, the Executive Director of the Office of Economic Development for the State of Texas.
Investment Fiji will also be hosting the upcoming monthly meeting of the Fiji USA Business Council.
