Seventeen athletes from Uluivalili College in Savusavu, Vanua Levu are excited to be part of this year’s Coca Cola Games.

Team Manager Laisenia Vakacegu, says he is proud of his athletes’ commitment given that they only had two weeks to prepare for the games.

“We just had our zone meet like two weeks ago, and here we are in Suva for the Coca Cola Games,” says Vakacegu.

“Ï am so proud of my athletes, they really have given in their best towards their preparation. The most important thing for us, is being here and participating among many other schools, that itself is a huge win for us.”

Vakacegu says he is happy to the parents, teachers and supporters for their support in the last two weeks.

“We had to fundraise for our trip here to Suva,” he says.

“From our transportation, to our meals and accommodations, I can’t describe enough how thankful I am to our supporters back at home.”

Meanwhile, Vakacegu is calling on all Uluivalili ex-scholars and supporters in Suva to come and support them at the ANZ National Stadium or at the Salvation Army Community Hall in Raiwai.
