Fiji’s 100 percent locally owned HFC Bank committed 5 thousand dollars to Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation, earlier today in Suva.
The bank believes the financial assistance provided is largely towards ‘International Day for People with Disability’.
HFC also contributed to developing Fiji’s First ever Mobile Me-Street level Map-a-thon project.
Creating a map to help people with disability is something which the HFC bank is looking forward to.
HFC Bank – General Manager Operations and Transformation – Admond Chandra believes the donation is a way to support those with a disability to live a normal life.
HFC Bank – Senior Manager Project – Georgina Naigulevu says the digital mobile me map will help the streets of Suva to be disabled-friendly for locals and people with disability coming from abroad to Fiji shores.
She says the information provided by the map will be clear for those people who are physically challenged to understand easily.
The Mobile-Me Map-a-thon will be held in Suva on the 4th of December this year.
