Minister for Health Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete updated parliament on the current status of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI Scan machine at Colonial War Memorial Hospital.
Waqainabete revealed that the machine developed technical issues on the 13th of August and the services resumed last week.
He added that people are often confused about the functions of the MRI machine which is for diagnostic and not for treatment.
“The MRI machine is a highly sophisticated diagnostics tool and is not for treatment'” said Waqainabete.
He added that the machine is used by Fijian, people from the region and for tourist.
