Guam has recorded another 92 cases of Covid-19 taking the island’s total number of infections to 3170 including 60 deaths.

The latest cases were confirmed over the last three days and come on top of 89 cases that were previously announced for the same period.

921 cases are currently active.

The most recent fatality was reported on Sunday, a 60 year old man with underlying health conditions.

Governor Lou Leon Guererro sent her condolences to the family and friends of the deceased along with those of her husband and the Lieutenant Governor Josh Tenorio.

She said making such announcements was very difficult but also said it should spur people to continue their fight against the coronavirus.

She asked that people keep their guards up by wearing masks, social distancing and avoiding social gatherings.

62 people remain hospitalised with the coronavirus including 10 in intensive care.
