Prime Minister -Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday visited the burnt dormitory site at Ratu Kadavulevu School in Tailevu.

Upon arrival-Bainimarama was briefed by the RKS Principal-Pio Veivoli and the Commissioner Central-Josefa Navuku.

The Prime Minister has instructed senior Education officials present at the site to work closely with his office and other relevant authorities to ensure the needs of the students are met.

During the visit he was also able to secure mattresses and bedding’s through the assistance from the Office of the Commissioner Central.

The teachers and the RKS family have also been reassured of government’s assistance in meeting the needs of the 158 students that were affected during the recent fire last week.

The National Fire Authority is currently conducting its investigation to the cause of  the Fire as there are still a few students who are yet to be interviewed who were present at the room where the Fire started last week Friday.
