Goundar Shipping today welcomed another vessel, “Lomaiviti Princess VIII” which will service Nabouwalu for the first time.

The ship can cater around 500 passengers and is one of the second vessel bought in from Japan this year.

The main reason Goundar Shipping Limited is bringing in more fleet in the country is to cater for the increase number of people that travel by sea says Managing Director for the company George Goundar.

Goundar says Lomaiviti Princess VIII will go through some modification before it starts service at the end of next month.

Goundar added that it is only best if ship owners work together and make sure that the passengers safety and needs is priorities.

The vessel cost around 2.2 million dollars and passengers are advice to make the best use of the services provided.
