FWRM’s Gender and Transitional Justice team facilitated a Sexual Harassment Awareness Training with senior staff of the Republic Of Fiji Navy yesterday.
The Sexual Harassment Awareness and Prevention Training is an initiative undertaken by FWRM to increase the awareness of and prevent the incidence of sexual harassment in the workplace.
Why is this training important?
According to Fiji’s Employment Relations Promulgation (2007), 76 (2) – an employer must develop and maintain a policy to prevent sexual harassment in his or her workplace.
FWRM’s tailor-made training can help your organisation understand sexual harassment and its prevalence in the workplace; and develop and design your own internal policies on sexual harassment.
We acknowledge the interest of the Navy to engage on this issue and taking leadership on ending gender-based violence in the workplace.
