2019 has been a busy yet fruitful year for the Fiji Women’s Rights Movement with various milestone Projects such as the Access to Justice study for Fijian Women.
This was revealed by FWRM Executive Director-Nalini Singh this week.
Its a never ending work for the FWRM even though the year is coming to an end.
“So far 2019 has become a very busy yet frightful year for us, we have seen the completion of some of the our milestone project, the Access to Justice for Fijian Women. We are continuing with our community information sessions with key organizations across the country. We also have on-going work for our inter-generational women Leadership Justice Program where we have the girls program, the young women’s programs and the on-going work on Women Research”
Singh says next year will be an important year as it marks 25 years of the Beijing Platform for Action that aims to see a a world where each woman and girl can exercise her freedoms and choices, and realize all her rights.
She says as the year comes to end, they are still concerned about the various Domestic and Sexual violence cases reported across the country
FWRM wishes all Fijians a Safe end of the year and its their hope they will always strive and advocate for Gender Equality and women’s empowerment is always upheld.
