The Fiji Rugby Union
has aligned its plans to return to rugby in compliance with the National Sports
Commission guidelines on restrictions and measures of Covid-19.

FRU has submitted the
forms back to the National Sports Commission well before the deadline.

Chief Executive
Officer John O’Connor says the new sports sector guidelines protocol is
flexible to ensure the safety and welfare of the players, officials and
everyone involved.

National Sports
Commission last month handed out the sports sector guidelines to all sporting
bodies in the country.

It’s compulsory for
every sporting body to get accredited if they wish to resume their sports
seasons and return to competition and training.

O’Connor says they have aligned their guidelines in accordance with the World Rugby and hope for a positive feedback from the National Sports Commission soon.
