The French Visa Application Center has re-opened in Mid City, Suva after two years.
This allows Fijians to lodge their applications here in Suva, rather than traveling to Vanuatu, as this was the case before.
Ambassador of France to Fiji, Jean-François Fitou says the technical opening of the center is key and the embassy owes it to the people of Fiji to have opportunities and be able to travel across France and the Schengen area.
Fitou says the re-opening of the French Visa Application Center in Suva is a gateway for Fijians to enter Europe.
The center will be open from Monday to Friday and the services are outsourced by TT services, a visa processing commercial company.
Fijians will have to apply online, book an appointed and submit their application of Wednesday.
The French Ambassador says the process will now be easy for Fijians to travel and also for Fijian Rugby players looking for opportunities in France.
“Apart from travelling to France and Europe, the facility will also provide visas to French Territories in the Pacific, like New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna. “
