The Freemasonry in Fiji over the past 50 years has provided assistance throughout the communities in Fiji.
With the Focus on assisting Children’s Education especially those from low- income earning backgrounds. The organization today Launched their 5-Year Program with a total of about $40,000 dollars channeled into two Initiatives Programs.
The first on school Assistance and an Annual Performance Incentive Scheme.
Having recently returned from Yalavou Public School located near the borders of Nadroga and Naitasiri,Ross Macdonald shared his experience on meeting students from that area that were assisted under their school assistance Program.
He says students had to travel for one and a half days to reach them so they can receive the assistance and it showed the dedication and commitment of students to do better in school.
The School Assistance Program aims to ease the burden on Parents and boost students performance in school.
The Freemasonry in Fiji has more than 100 memebers and most of their funding are from local and overseas members.
Since the Programs inception they have assisted 66 students from Rakiraki, Nadroga, Savusavu, and Suva.
