Two staff members from the FNU’s College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences – received significant international accolades, and have been commended by the University fraternity.

Lecturer in Medical Laboratory Sciences – Dr Aruna Devi, graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy from Charles Stuart University in Australia, while Head of Department – Public Health and Health Services – Dr Ledua Tamani, was recognized as a ‘Fellow’ of the Australasian College of Health Services Management.

Devi added – being the first in Fiji and the region from the field of Medical Laboratory Science with a doctorate degree, she hopes to motivate and inspire fellow scientists, to do the same.

The award means recognition of the School of Public Health and Primary Care, and the College of Medicine, Nursing, and Health Sciences’ academic programs, and its relevance.
