Following the announcement of Fiji’s first COVID-19 yesterday by the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama, The Fiji National University is taking the following measures to safeguard their staff and students and adhere to the Government’s guidelines:·
Campuses within the Greater Lautoka Area – Natabua Campus, Naceva Campus, Technical College of Fiji Lautoka (Lautoka Sanatan)
Closed with effect from midnight last night. All staff are requested to work from home until further notice. Staff who reside within the Greater Lautoka Area may visit the campus today, March 20th to retrieve their teaching materials.
FNU residential facilities in the Greater Lautoka Area: Natabua Residential Hall and McGregor House.
All students must remain in the halls unless they are moving out to live at home or with friends and families within the Greater Lautoka Area.·
All other Campuses falling outside the Greater Lautoka Area.
There will not be face to face classes today. Staff and students will be permitted to come on campus to access their study and teaching materials between 9am to 5pm.
This situation is under constant review and FNU request staff and students to frequently check their emails.
