The Fiji Airways Flying Fijians have been officially welcomed in Abashiri City ahead of the Rugby World Cup.
The welcome ceremony was held at Okhotsk Ryu-Hyo Museum in Abashiri.
World Rugby, Japan Rugby Football Union and the Ambassador of Fiji to Japan, Isikeli Mataitoga and the Mayor of Abashiri City welcomed the team in a formal ceremony.
Flying Fijians coach John McKee says the team has settled well into the base camp and most of their preparations will be done in Abashiri in lead up to their opening match against the Wallabies next Saturday.
McKee says players also went through a training run in Abashiri and had gym sessions.
The team looks in high spirit with seven days away from their opening match.
Fiji plays Australia next Saturday 4:45pm.
