Journalists from different countries around the world gather as they are briefed on Fijian culture and traditions as the first day of the 52nd Asian Development Bank Annual Meeting kicks off.

ADB Director General Pacific Department Carmela Locsin briefed the media on ADB’s efforts in climate financing, building resilience in infrastructure and various ADB projects in the region and around the world.

On day one of the conference, there will be a workshop on Blue Economy, Disaster Risk Financing and Ocean Infrastructure, Building Capacity and Connectivity for the New Economy in East Asia.

The meetings today will culminate with Discussions on ADB Strategy 2030’s Operational Priorities.
