The first “Portable Container Service Station”, was lauched by Pacific Energy Services, in partnership with the Northland Farmers Co-operative in Korovou, Tailevu yesterday.
The first of its kind in Fiji ,the service station is reputable for high security, fast and easy installation.
The Portable Container Service station,the first in Fiji and along the Nausori and Korovou corridor, situated halfway for motorists and for the people of Tailevu .
Permanent Secretary for Industry and trade Shaheen Ali says the service station is a step towards the development of infrastructure in Korovou by a cooperative in the fuel sector.
“This service station will serve a community of approximately 30,000 people, which includes public service vehicles. Hundreds of vehicles pass through Korovou Town on a daily basis and with its strategic location, the Service Station provides a convenient service to the motoring public in Korovou.”
Pacific Energy is thrilled to be the first to bring the portable service station to Fiji and hopes this will allow more investors to be interested in setting up fuel stations in rural areas.
Pacific Energy National Retail Manager Amit Maharaj adds safety is an important component for the company and the portable service station has passed all necessary safety requirements.
The service station meets international standards and is certified by the ministry of trade.
