A three-bedroom house along Statham Street in Vatuwaqa, was destroyed in a fire this afternoon.
The fire is believed to have started after midday today. According to the neighbours, the fire started from one of the rooms in the house.
The couple that occupied the house escaped the fire unharmed.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze at around 1pm.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this stage.
