The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission is asking Fijians to be considerate and not take advantage of the people they employ in light of the COVID- 19 global pandemic.
FCCC CEO Joel Abraham says Fijians should not take advantage of their employees during this time.
He says Fijians must seek to help each other out as much as possible.
Abraham said that an example of danger is where taxi drivers are overworking and exposing themselves to potentially dangerous situations so they could make up their quotas to taxi owners.
Abraham said some of these drivers have to give the owners 300 or 350 dollars a week which means that they have to work extra hours to earn enough for their livelihood.
This can be dangerous at the moment as they are at a high risk of getting infected.
The CEO adds this is a global crisis, and this will test our humanity applies to everyone.
