The Fiji Airways Fijiana team has qualified for the “2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup”, after beating Manusina Samoa in the final match of the ‘2019 Oceania 15’s Women’s Championship’ last Saturday, and team Vice Captain, Lailani Burns, is grateful for the opportunity, especially qualifying for the world event for the first time.
The win was a very special one, as it’s the first time in history for the Fijiana team, to qualify for the Women’s 15’s Rugby World Cup.
The Fijiana team came in with six tries, to claim the 41-13 victory, over Manusina Samoa.
It was a tough game against the Samoans last weekend, but the Fijiana team, won 41-13.
Samoa has previously played in the RWC, and still have a chance to make the 2021 RWC. They will now face either Tonga or Papua New Guinea, for the right to enter the global repechage, that will determine the 12th and final qualifier, for RWC 2021 in New Zealand.
