Fiji Volleyball Federation President Liga Gukisuva says allowing non-contact sports to resume may soon open the door for contact sports in the country.

Commissioner of Police Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho announced on the weekend that three non-contact sports; Volleyball, Tennis and Golf can resume.

Gukisuva says they will now start planning to resume sanctioning activities that are under government directive.

He says they will also be negotiating with clubs about organising competitions.

Gukisuva says they lined up seven major tournaments for this season that were put on hold due to Covid-19 and now they will re-look and discuss in the next board meeting.
