The Fiji Trades Union Congress has embarked on a nationwide survey to collect data regarding the impact of the COVID crisis on union members.
The survey has been made possible through a collaboration with the International Labor Organization.
The target sectors covered for this data collection are from the tourism, manufacturing and retail, sugar and fish processing and hospitality related service industry.
As part of this collaboration, the International International Labour Organization handed over 10 tablets to the FTUC.
This is part of the ongoing initiative to strengthen the capacities of the workers organizations in the region.
The survey is scheduled to extend over the Western and Northern Divisions next week as union members converge to union offices around the country to fill the survey.
