50 countries will be part of the IWF Junior Championships which begins on Saturday at the FMF Gymnasium in Suva.
With two days out from the championship, organisers are hopeful to deliever the best and set the standard high for hosting the event.
Fiji is the first ever Pacific country to be granted the hosting rights.
The organising committee have been working around the clock to deliver a high standard IWF Junior World Championships which gets underway on Saturday.
People are willing to go extra mile to make it happen since its the first time that Fiji is hosting the event of this magnitude.
IWF Junior World Championship is a Gold Level Olympic Qualification event.
Some of the well known countries who have made their names in the sport of weightlifting have arrived in the country.
The rest of the weightlifters from other parts of the world will arrive on Saturday.
And they’ll be medals up for grabs for each weight category.
The IWF Junior World Championship is for athletes aged between 17 to 20 years.
