At a presentation in Lautoka yesterday, FSC hosted representatives from the Korean Importers Association (KIA). FSC CEO Graham Clark welcomed KIA Chairman Kwan-hee Hong to the FSC Packaging Plant and presented the recently re-branded FSC range of packed sugar to the Korean delegation.
Opportunities for the export of Fiji Sugars to Korea were explored with the KIA who commented on the unique natural appeal of Fiji Sugar. Details of pack sizes and delivery possibilities were also discussed, together with opportunities for bulk raw sugar exports from Lautoka and Malau ports to Korea.
Potential Korean customers in food manufacturing, refining, retail and packaging were identified and discussed with the KIA. FSC also updated the KIA delegation on the status of the FSC food safety compliance and certifications in process.
Chairman Kwang-hee Hong in thanking FSC for the presentation commended FSC on its product offering and noted that the extended membership of the KIA in Korea was available for FSC to progress potential future commercial relationships. Korea presents a significant export market opportunity for Fiji Sugar Corporation, which jointly could be explored.
