ORGANISERS for the Fiji Secondary School Basketball Competition have noted an increase in participating schools this year, compared to those that participated last year.

This year’s competition will feature 49 schools having Jasper Williams High School and Nadi International,  the two teams from the west that will be participating for the first time.

While the defending champions in both the Girls and Boys divisions will be looking at defending their title again this year, Venue Manager-Kenneth Taliu says it is without a doubt that other teams will be out to give their best to creating some major upsets during the tournament.

The competition will end tomorrow Friday August 16, at the Yat Sen Secondary School in Suva.
