Engaging and understanding the key functions of our stakeholders is crucial in our planning and implementation process, as it enables more well-rounded services from all parties to disaster affected communities.

The Fiji Red Cross Society has recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Lomaiviti Provincial Council and has also met with the Lau Provincial Council to discuss the use of the FRCS office space in Koro and the possibility of placing a Disaster Prepositioned Container on the island of Matuku to enable the Red Cross to reach out to communities during times of disaster in these key maritime locations.

While acknowledging the existing partnerships with the 2 stakeholders, Ms Rokotunidau said that FRCS is looking forward to enhancing its work for the betterment of communities in these areas.
