The Fiji Red Cross Society has reached out to 169 communities in its Tropical Cyclone Harold and COVID-19 response efforts.

The outreach teams have all returned from the islands and the society is compiling the final disaster assessment report.

The Fiji Red Cross has identified Vatulele as one of the most devastated by Tropical Cyclone Harold.

Director General Ilisapeci Rokotunidau says the focus will be on water restoration in villages and communities affected.

Rokotunidau revealed that the society has assisted around 8 thousand people out of the 10 thousand target.

Over four thousand dollars worth of relief supplies has been distributed.

The Fiji Red Cross Society second phase of outreach and rehabilitation will resume soon.
