Fiji Police’s head of Pathologist Services-Doctor James Kalougivaki held the first ever training organized in Vanuatu to educate and bring together stakeholders of the Vanuatu medico-legal death investigation team.
Kalougivaki says the training is aimed at encouraging the first collaboration between the ODPP, the Police and Forensic Experts.
Fiji’s Police Commissioner -Brigadier General Sitiveni Qiliho is keen on strengthening co-operation and exchanges with our Partners in the Pacific region.
The 3 day training was held last week brought together members of Vanuatu’s Judiciary, Police Investigators and Clinical Pathologist.
Kalougivaki has experience in forensic pathology and has also worked and trained under forensic experts from Australia on Disaster Victim Identification and Medico-legal Death Investigation.
