Fiji continues to assist its neighboring Pacific Island countries in line with the primary objective of the Pacific Police Training Advisory Group development training program initiatives.
This follows the completion of Rotation 2 of the Pacific Police Crime Scene Association Mentor and Mentee assessment program conducted in Kiribati by Fiji Police’s Woman Sergeant- Patricia Liga under the PPTAG Forensic Working Group umbrella.
The assessment included crime scene sketching, exhibit collection, packaging and labeling of exhibits, dusting and lifting of fingerprints the compilation of case files, note taking, crime scene photography and uplifting exhibits from crime scenes.
The latest initiative fairs well with the Fiji’s Police Commissioner Brigadier General-Sitiveni Qiliho mission of sharing resources and expertise with Pacific Island neighbors.
The first round of assessments was held in Fiji earlier this year.
