The Fiji Men’s and Women’s teams have been bundled out of the Asian Continental Cup beach volleyball competition.

Both teams will also miss out on the qualification to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Fiji Women’s went down to New Zealand 2- nil in their semi final clash.

Francesca Kirwan and Olivia MacDonald posted New Zealand’s first win over Fiji by defeating Gloria Taylor and Teu-pola Ului-lakeba with Julia Tilley and Shaunna Polley’s victory over Vunise Lua and Talica Rawaro sending the Kiwi’s to the finals.

In the Men’s division, posting wins for New Zealand over Fiji were Thomas Hartles and Alani Nicklin; Michael Watson and Sam O’Dea.

Hartles and Nicklin defeated Wayne Fisher and Manasa Rogoivalu with Watson and O’Dea beating Filimoni Serevi and Vilimone Rokomurimuri.

The final will be contested between New Zealand and Australia.
