The Fiji Museum has for the very first time for the School Holidays organized a Program on Experimental Archaeology at the Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park this week.
The program aims is to create an emphasis on community engagement, especially with children and youths, with the hope of building their knowledge and skills and enhanced appreciation of our rich and diverse history, heritage and identity.
The Museum is piloting this initiative with selected schools in the Nausori, Suva, and Deuba Corridor and targets Year 11, 12, and 13 students whose subject combination include History and Geography.

The program was officially opened by the Chairperson of the National Trust of Fiji Council-Craig Powell yesterday and will end this Friday.
