Investment Fiji CEO, Craig Strong was part of the first Fiji-Indonesia Trade & Investment webinar series hosted by the Embassy of Fiji in Jakarta.
The speakers included Investment Fiji and Head of Permanent Committee for Asia Pacific Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr Bernardio Moningka Vega.
Key representatives and business industry joined in the webinar series from Indonesia.
Mr Strong presented an overview of Fiji’s investment opportunities and business environment.
“Fiji is strategically positioned with access to other Pacific markets, highly educated workforce and high-capital investment sectors such as fisheries, food processing, manufacturing, ICT & BPO.”
Mr Bernardio also gave an overview on Indonesia’s key focus areas such as Digital Economy, Infrastructure, Industrial Park, Maritime and Export.
Mr Isaac Grace, Chargé d’Affaires of the Fijian Embassy in Jakarta stated the webinar serves as a platform to discuss opportunities between the two countries and prepare for post COVID-19 engagements.
Discussions on biomass energy and share of expertise was key.
