The Fiji Football Association President Rajesh Patel, Board members and the entire football fraternity is saddened to learn the passing away of former Ba team manager Firdosh Nabi.

Nabi was the father of former national team goalkeeper that won the South Pacific Games 2003 gold medal, late Afroz Nabi.

He was the team/kit manager when late Billy Singh was the coach of the Ba Football team.

He had his last breath around midday today, July 24.

Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel acknowledged the supreme contribution of Nabi on the football arena.

“Firdosh, Babu as he was more famously known, was a great team leader of his time and someone who had football at his heart.

“His late son was a household name among football fraternity and so was he because of his great work and kindness.

“I convey my heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolence to the grieving family at this difficult point in time and I pray to the Almighty that his soul rest in peace.”
