The Fiji Football Association and its president Rajesh Patel, toegther with the Board members and the entire football fraternity is saddened to learn of the passing of former national team selector, Ba rep and former Police Sergeant, Loga Nadan.
Patel acknowledged the many contributions of Nadan in football.
“We have lost an icon of football, it’s a huge loss. He had been a ardent football fan,”said Patel
“I convey my heartfelt sympathy and deepest condolence to the grieving family and I pray to the Almighty that his soul rests in peace.
“We have lost a great man today. One who had football in his heart and football was his life. He contributed immensely towards the development of football in Fiji and leaves behind a legacy which many of us would only dream of fulfilling.”
Former Suva and national rep Sylvester Joseph said Nadan was an enthusiastic football lover.
“We have lost a man who had football at his heart, He was the national football team selector from 1980 to 1990,” Joseph said.
Joseph said Nadan joined the Police Force after completing his Senior Cambridge and through dedication and hard work, he climbed his way up the different levels of the force then achieving the highest position of Police Commissioner.
“He Migrated to Canada with his wife and children and served several organizations, like Fiji Canada Football Association, Sangam Society of B.C and Armed Services Royal Canadian Legion,” he said.
Joseph said Nadan would be sadly missed by those who knew him.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family who will have to go through this difficult phase,” he said.
The former Namoli, Ba resident passed away on Sunday 23rd August in Canada.
