Fiji Football Association has made a submission to get accredited by the Fiji National Sports Commission so that it can continue with its domestic competition once government announces the lifting of restrictions.
This was confirmed by Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel.
The Association has applied for the OFC Solidarity funding to assist players and those affected from football during this Covid-19 pandemic.
Patel has also announced that Fiji FA will start “Football for Humanity Foundation” which is a program to look after players in times of natural disasters.
This program will be established soon.
The revised football calendar was also passed in the meeting.
Pending the lifting of restrictions, the Inkk Mobile Battle of Giants is scheduled to take place at Churchill Park in Lautoka while, while the Courts Inter District Championship will be played at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.
